The Windsor community enjoys access to higher education. As part of the North Bay region of the Bay Area, the Town of Windsor has access to a wide range of two and four year colleges and universities, including:

  • Other universities, including University of California at Berkeley and University of California San Francisco, are in close proximity to Sonoma County.

    Low Crime Rates
    In Sonoma County, the Town of Windsor pays among the least amount per capita for police services, yet crime rates are very low compared to other communities (Based on 2009 California Department of Justice Part I Crime Rate).

    The Town of Windsor has a wide range of quality housing. There is a well planned mix of affordable to high-end residential neighborhoods with a wide range of housing types, from single family-homes to condominiums and apartments.
